The freight car manufacturer rolled out from the plant in Świdnica, Poland, another batch of the Trail Rail wagons, produced under the specifications of the German customer. The contract envisages a delivery of a total of 62 such units. The first batch was supplied to Helrom late in 2023.

The Trail Rail has a specific module that tilts horizontally to the side, using a hydraulically operated mechanism, allowing a truck to load a semi-trailer onto the wagon without any other means. According to Helrom, this approach does not require any investment in the construction of loading terminals, as all that is needed is an asphalted area next to the railway tracks.

A further 40 Trail Rail wagons have been ordered from the engineering company Maschinenfabrik Liezen und Gießerei. In February 2023, the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure approved a €15 mln grant to bring the project to market.
