Austria: The company is preparing to launch a prototype of such freight car.

The rotating frame, designated BaseFrame45ft, is designed to improve loading and unloading of roll-on/roll-off containers, manufactured under DIN 30722 standard, between road and rail transport. This innovation is expected to eliminate the need for forklifts and cranes during operations.

The rotating mechanism will be installed on a 40- or 45-ft base frame, allowing the transport of two containers, each weighing up to 32 t and measuring 5.4 to 7.1 m in length.

BOXmover focuses on developing solutions that simplify intermodal freight transport. In collaboration with the Swiss leasing company Wascosa, the company is also involved in manufacturing swap body flatcars. DIN 30722 containers are commonly used in road transport and are widely employed in the construction industry.
