Belarus: As reported by Asipovitsky Krai, a local media which announced this information, 99% of orders of Osipovichi Transport Engineering Works (OZTM) come from Russian customers.
According to the data from OZTM’s official website, the plant focuses on producing 40- and 80-foot flatcars, gondola cars, tank cars, and tank containers. ROLLINGSTOCK’s analytics say that OZTM produced over 950 cars in 2023, the majority of which were tank cars. In 2024, the share of this product has increased even more.
The plant’s accelerating production of freight cars is connected with a high demand for them in Russia. OZTM is also developing capacities for manufacturing of corrugated metal panels for the construction of dry cargo containers.
ROLLINGSTOCK Agency is now preparing a new analytical report on freight car-building in Russia and CIS countries with an outlook for 2025 and longer-term perspectives till 2029. The report is planned for release by the end of September.
