AWF’s preproduction models of gondola cars and flatcars were unveiled this summer. The 12-6785 gondola car with a hatch has a payload of 69.5 t, a body volume of 88 m3, and a design life of 22 years. The 13-6792 container flatcar is marked by a loading length of 12.2 m, to fit in two 20-ft containers or tank containers, a payload of 75 t and a design life of 32 years. Both models are equipped with 18-6786 double-axle bogies with an axle load of 23.5 tf, produced by AWF based on the 18-100 standard bogie (type 2 GOST 9246-2013).

ADDED ON 27.12.2024: At the end of December, AWF received TR CU 001/2011 certificates for five years of serial production of cars and bogies until 2029. The production batches of the certified products will be 8,000 gondola cars, 5,000 container flatcars and 15,000 bogies. AWF has also been awarded the manufacturer’s mark under number 3004. As the company told ROLLINGSTOCK, the vehicles were certified by the Russian state institution Federal Railway Transport Register of Certification due to the shorter procedure and the experience of the certification body.
