India: Kinet Railway Solutions, a joint venture of TMH and RVNL, has signed a framework agreement with the Indian company CG Power and Industrial Solutions.
The firm part includes deliveries of motors, traction converters and other components for ten 24-car Vande Bharat trains with sleeping cars as well as their 35-year maintenance. The total value of the order might account for INR 4.5 bln ($51.7 mln).

In 2023, the national operator Indian Railways awarded Kinet with a contract for 80 EMUs (1,920 cars) to be manufactured domestically. The trains will be assembled at the Latur facility in India and the first prototypes are expected in March 2026.

CG, founded in 1937, currently owns 18 facilities across India and one in Sweden. For the rail industry, the company produces power electronics, signalling, and train anti-collision systems known as Kavach. CG’s revenue reached $964 mln in the previous financial year.
