UK: The FreightControl Sentinel system has been installed on the JPA cement tank cars, operated by Heidelberg Materials UK, the British division of the German company.
The solution, which provides real-time diagnostics and analytics, incorporates a wheel anti-slide device, sensors for brake condition monitoring, and a gateway to transfer the data to the server.
FreightControl Sentinel is the technological backbone of the iWagon telematics platform, being developed by the German component manufacturer in cooperation with the British leasing company VTG. Since 2023, the solution has been undergoing testing in the UK.
