UK: Kineco says that the acquisition will allow the group to broaden its product offering and strengthen its position on the global market.

It ultimately aims to become a world leader in the passenger rail interiors segment. In line with this strategy, Kineco previously acquired sanitation systems manufacturer Semvac in December 2024.

TRB Lightweight Structures will retain its name and continue operations at its Huntingdon facility in the UK. Established in 1954, TRB specialises in the design and manufacture of passenger, service and emergency doors, flooring and partitions made from aluminium and composite honeycomb panels, toilets, and other interior elements. TRB components are supplied to Hitachi Rail for UK high-speed trains, Siemens Inspiro metro trains in London, and have been used in composite body panels for the ultra-lightweight RVLR railbus.
