Ukraine: The manufacturer presented the relevant plans at the URC2025 conference in Rome. It is noted that the main focus will be on expanding production and certifying new models of wheels for passenger rolling stock.

The investment programme for the development of wheel and wheelset production under the KLW brand is scheduled to last until 2032. As part of this programme, a heat treatment line will be established at the Dnipro site, capacities for the finishing of wheels and axles will be expanded, and workshop infrastructure will be modernised.

In 2024, Interpipe increased railway product sales by 21% to 114,000 t, with the main volume, or 76,000 t (+26% compared to 2023), delivered to the European market.

As noted in January by the director of the company’s railway products division, Oleksandr Harkavy, the company’s wheel customers include Alstom, Siemens Mobility, Greenbrier, and Tatravagonka. Interpipe also plans to expand cooperation with national European operators: Renfe, SNCF, and Trenitalia.
