Germany: Hübner will present both technologies at InnoTrans 2024 in Berlin.
The first solution, the AutoCouple system, is being developed for automated coupling and uncoupling of gangway systems at the press of a button from the driver’s cab.

The German supplier says the technology can save 25 minutes, usually necessary for manual coupling processes. The system is designed to be installed on new and existing metro trains. Hübner says that it is holding negotiations on the system supply with North American operators.

In cooperation with ZEISS Microoptics, Hübner is developing holographic displays in windows in trains and city transport. Such displays require less energy, space and are characterized by a high degree of transparency of over 90 percent in contrast to OLED screens.
