Switzerland: At the end of October, the narrow-gauge RhB operator ran a 1.9 km train on a 25 km route in the Alps with a grade of up to 35‰. The achievement was recorded by representatives of the Guinness Book of Records.
USA: A $1.7 bln option would allow the manufacturer to expand the contract with the MTA to supply 1,175 metro cars. At the same time, Kawasaki announced that the delivery of the first trains was delayed by 1.5 years.
Kazakhstan: The locomotive was designed for the 1520 mm gauge market by Wabtec. The certificate for its serial production was obtained at the end of 2021, and more than 10 such vehicles have already been produced.
Germany: Siemens Mobility, Stadler, Skoda Group, Bozankaya and a number of other market players presented their trams and metro trains. Three novelties were exhibited among them.
USA: In September, the company received orders from three manufacturers - Siemens Mobility, Stadler, and Medha Servo Drives. It is planned to equip multiple unit rolling stock with fuel cells.
Germany: Alstom, Hitachi Rail, Siemens Mobility, Stadler and a number of other players unveiled their trains. At the same time, new solutions of locomotive-hauled passenger coaches were presented by Deutsche Bahn.
Namibia: This is the first such project in Africa. Its first stage includes the conversion of two GE diesel locomotives of TransNamib’s fleet to dual-fuel combustion of diesel and hydrogen.
Uzbekistan: The perspective contract will also include the equipment supply for the rolling stock maintenance. An obligatory condition to take part in the tender is to attract state export credit support.
Germany: The Hochbahn operator has launched a tender to do the firm order for 46 metro trains of the new generation. With the long-term options executed, the total delivery may potentially include 370 trains.
