Spain: First testing of Talgo's Vittal-One hydrogen train is scheduled for this summer. Meanwhile trials of its TPH2 hybrid locomotive and CAF’s train Civia 463, which started last year, are under way.
France: In September 2022, the second automatic metro line with trains by Siemens was launched in Rennes. Two months later, new rolling stock for Marseille and Île-de-France was unveiled at Alstom’s plant in Petite-Forêt.
China: The 28.8 MW electric six-section locomotive has starting tractive effort of 2,280 kN and entered into operation in June 2021. Shen24 tripled volume of coal cargo service in Shanxi and Shaanxi, increasing it by 25 mln t annually.
Russia: According to an additional agreement to the contract of 2020, the Russian capital’s metro will receive 500+ metro cars between 2024–2025.
India: The German locomotive manufacturer offered Indian Railways supply for $US3 bln. Other bidders are not disclosed.
Russia: New machines should enhance efficiency of snow-plow on the Russian Railways network.
Czech Republic: Since October last year, ČD has announced four tenders for the supply of up to 212 single- and double-deck trains of different traction systems, and this is the largest order in the company's history.
China, South Korea: Traction systems of both trains with supercapacitors have travel range of 600 km. With a top speed of 160 km/h, CRRC’s train outruns the one by South Korea’s Woojin Industrial Systems accelerating to 110 km/h.
Czech Republic: A quarter of a century ago, the first tram car by Skoda Group, Astra, left the factory in Plzen. Its current portfolio includes 475 LRVs in 13 cities in 4 European countries, with options under existing contracts.
